little virtuosos project

Hello all! My name is Abby Van de Water and I am the creative resource manager for the LIttle Virtuosos Project. I started playing the viola in the third grade and I am currently pursuing a BA in music and a BS in Biochemistry at the University of the Pacific. Go Tigers! Personally, playing the viola has opened so many doors for me. I’ve made amazing friends and have been lucky enough to play with some of the most talented people I know. To me, music is an outlet of creativity. Yes, sometimes you might just be reading notes on a page, but the beautiful thing is that each person interprets the notes differently. I have played in orchestras at the city, county, and state levels, and they have been some of the best experiences of my life (viola jokes aside). I hope to continue on this path as I move through college and beyond, and I hope to inspire others to pick up an instrument of their own.
