Hi! My name is Claris Chan and I am a sophomore at Mission San Jose High School in Fremont, California. I’ve been playing violin since second grade, and viola since sixth. Through junior high and high school, I have participated in CASMEC and CMEA Bay Section, and I was the principal violist in the CODA December Honor Symphony Orchestra. For me, music is an opportunity to meet other talented students and learn from amazing mentors and conductors! I love music because it allows everyone to express themselves in a different way, and there are so many little components that make each performance unique. I’m so grateful to share my passion for music with everyone!
