little virtuosos project

Hi friends! My name is Charis Gray and I am currently a Junior at University High School. Music was brought into my life when my mom convinced me to play violin in our school’s elementary orchestra. I’m so glad she quite literally forced me to do that, because now, I couldn’t imagine life without music. In my 8 years of playing, I have participated in various quartets and local/ school orchestras. I have also performed in multiple state honor groups like FMCMEA, Mahler at Pacific, CODA, and CASMEC. Throughout this whole musical experience of mine, I’ve come to realize how important music is. It brings people together, creates relationships with strangers, and can even create lifelong friendships. I’m grateful for what music has brought me and I’m excited to see what the future holds. Music aside, I love to play volleyball, my favorite candy is Peanut M&M’s, and I love banana ice cream.
