Hello! :) My name is Anjeli, and I am a rising freshman at Harvard University where I plan to major in neuroscience and pursue studies in the global health field. When I was three years old, I watched an episode of Little Einsteins where a violinist was featured, and after *begging* my mom for about a year, I started taking violin lessons and learned piano soon after. Recently, I graduated from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music Pre-College Division where I studied with Lisa Lee and Ian Swensen. During high school, I was named the concertmaster of multiple orchestras representing the state and nation. Through music, I’ve been able to meet some of the most incredible people and create lifelong friendships. My biggest goal is to find out how music enables us to connect with other people, how musical education and even just listening to music can benefit the brain, and how we can use this knowledge to treat those with mental illnesses. I wouldn’t be the person I am today without music, and I’m so thankful to have the opportunity to share my greatest passion with you all.
