little virtuosos project

Hello! My name is Regina Rivera, and I am currently an Undergraduate Pre-Health Major and Italian Minor at California State University, Fresno, with the Smittcamp Family Honors College.  My musical journey began when I started playing piano in the first grade. I played violin in my schools’ ensembles for six years, and I have sang in choral ensembles for five years. Initially, when I started picking up these instruments, it was from the influence of my parents.  However, I feel like I really started to love being a musician during my junior year of high school after being exposed to choral music.  There’s something so beautiful about a large group of individual voices coming together to create one sound and convey a single story.  Since then, I have been a member of various choir ensembles. In the last two years, I was apart of the Central Coast Regional Honor Choir and the Fresno County Youth Choir.  Music has not only been my method of expressing my feelings, but it has allowed me to meet so many wonderful human beings, and I love that I am able to share this passion with you all!
